BURPEK SCARF  at its 20th anniversary

What started in 1986 as ipekbursadolama our company celebrates its 20^th year in 2006 by abbreviating its new title as BURPEK: our new registered trademark.

Since its day of formation, our company has been using 100% natural fibers to weave the shawls popular in our Turkish market as “Bursa Dolama”. Generally made from 80% viscose and 20% floss threads, these ratios may sometimes differ.

Made from Viscose fibers, in recent years Bursa Dolama due to its absence of polyester has made its name in the market, especially amongst young women specifically in warmer Middle Eastern countries.

This year new colours and designs, especially with our new delicate hand colored batik designs, we will be reflecting modern trends in our shawls.  Recently, this year, we are also proud to add dresses and skirts to our collection, once again made from our natural light comfortable materials.
